Anan Kids Academy is my home away from home. Here I get to play, learn, make friends, share, care, and grow up happily.
It is here that I am welcomed every morning with a cheerful smile from my teachers. My day at school begins for a journey through the different labs.
An amusing and trending place at our school is the Performing Arts lab. Here we showcase and express our acting skills through theatre act and puppetry. We learn new words and improve our storytelling ability through action rhymes and recitation. We enjoy getting on to the stage every time to enliven the characters of fantasy plays, comic plays, and folk tales.
We get an energy boost as we enter the Dance Music Gym where we sing happily in Vocal classes, play away on the Keyboard, shake a leg in Western and Classical dance, and strike a pose in Yoga class. This is a lab where we learn new skills in a more relaxed way.
The most vibrant and colourful lab at Anan is the Creative Corner. Our teachers let us splash, dab, paint, draw and give colours to our imagination. We are allowed to play around with different materials and colours and to our surprise, the art pieces are displayed during the Art Expo.
Self-help is the best help is what we practice in the Home Corner lab. We are taught – to pack our school bags, to put on our socks and shoes, to groom ourselves, to practice table manners, etc. We also learn how to answer a phone call, how and where to use the magic words– please, sorry, thank you. We activate our sense of organs using various sensory activities. We put on our chef caps to practice cooking some of our favourite dishes. Here we carry out so many such activities where we practically do and learn things better.
