The Kuwait Towers are three slender, globe-adorned towers rising from the Arabian Gulf coast of Kuwait City and are the most recognised landmark and enduring symbol of the State of Kuwait. Completed in 1979 and designed by Swedish architect Sune Lindström, the towers are celebrated as a masterpiece of modern Islamic architecture, their spheres decorated with distinctive steel discs in shades of green, blue, and grey.
